Riga in the 1930s. A bohemian lifestyle is an essential part of life for any self-respecting artist. Juris Upenājs, a poor but ambitious young man from the countryside, arrives in the capital determined to find his place in the city’s artistic circles. On his very first evening, at a bohemian party, he meets the love of his life. What follows is a series of misunderstandings and unexpected turns, by turns humorous and heartfelt.
